Family visas are available for relatives of residents in Saudi Arabia who wish to make a short-term visit to the Kingdom. Authorisation by the Saudi Ministry of Affairs must be obtained by the sponsoring resident in Saudi Arabian prior to applying for a visa.

For a Saudi family visit visa, we will need you to supply:

A valid signed biometric passport (with 6 months validity beyond your stay and a double blank page and at least one further blank page for exit and entry stamps),

Original proof of relationship between the applicant and the Saudi resident sponsor.

If you’re visiting a Parent

If you’re visiting parent who is working is Saudi Arabia then you will need your original full UK birth certificate that has the name of that parent who is working in Saudi Arabia clearly on it. It may need to be legalised by the FCO. This is at the Embassy’s discretion.

If you are visiting a spouse

If you are visiting a spouse who is working is Saudi Arabia then you will need your original UK marriage certificate. It may need to be legalised by the FCO. This is at the Embassy’s discretion.

If you are visiting an in-law

If you are visiting an in-law you must show proof of your relationship, i.e. if your brother-in-law is working in Saudi and you wish to visit then you must show a copy of the marriage certificate between your brother-in-law and your sister, your sister’s full birth certificate and your full birth certificate so the Embassy can see you share the same parents. If you are visiting your son-in-law, then you will need the original UK marriage certificate between your daughter and her husband and you will also need your daughter’s original full birth certificate that clearly states her parent’s (you included) names on it. It may need to be legalised by the FCO. This is at the Embassy’s discretion.

If you are visiting your son or daughter

If you are visiting your son or daughter who is working in Saudi Arabia then we will need your son/daughter’s full UK birth certificate that clearly has your name on it as the mother/father. It may need to be legalised by the FCO. This is at the Embassy’s discretion.

We are now required to purchase insurance through the Saudi online Enjaz on your behalf. This is compulsory and will be required regardless if you have separate insurance. On the day we upload the data on the Saudi servicers prior to lodging your application we will be quoted some insurance fee options. We will then email these to you for you to choose your price point. We will pay on your behalf and require you to transfer the funds immediately to our account ensuring the funds are cleared before we collect your visa.

Please note, we are not told the type of coverage or benefits the insurer offers. Attached are a series of questions, please provide the answers so we can get an insurance price for you. We will then contact you for you to pay the full cost.

Non UK passport holders must be able to show proof of current residency in the UK in order to apply here.

The Embassy accepts utility bills no more than 3 months old, i.e. Gas, Water, Electric, Council Tax or Rent Agreements but the Embassy does not accept Bank Statements or Telephone Bills. The issue with having a UK Residency visa in your passport is that you can have one but not currently be residing here.

Any applicant who has visited either Sierra Leone or Guinea (Conakry) in the 4 weeks preceding the application will be rejected.
